If your door doesn’t close, and the garage door opener lights are blinking or flashing, there could be any number of problems. Look at how many times the light is flashing:

• 1 Flash: The safety sensor wire may be open/broken/disconnected.
• 2 Flashes: Shorted sensor wire or black and white wires are installed in reverse.
• 3 Flashes: A problem with the door control wires.
• 4 Flashes: Misaligned photoelectric sensor eyes.
• 5 Flashes: Overheated motor or RPM sensor failure.
• 6 Flashes: Motor circuit failure.
